Incredible steaks , fresh seafood and awesome shareable sides with a premier wine list! Never disappointed here. Outstanding service. Jazz group or piano in the bar Thurs, Fri Sat. I have brought clients from all over the world here. All have loved it! Be ready for a hefty tab though..... but you pay for what you get ! A great

We went today for the Easter Brunch buffet and were unfortunately underwhelmed. We started out on the wrong foot. When we arrived, the host was pleasant and welcoming but then attempted to give me a compliment by saying he would seat me and my husband by the windows, as that's where he seats all the lovely ladies because it's "good advertising." I know it was meant to be funny and meant to be a compliment, but oddly enough, commenting on how my looks can generate business for them didn't exactly flatter me, especially when we were about to pay $42 each for brunch. I was tempted to comment on how I would be happy to market their business for them in exchange for a free meal, however it being Easter and all, I kept my mouth shut, as "nice ladies" are supposed to, and the opportunity to teach him a lesson on equality and objectification passed me by. A simple "welcome to J Grahams, you both look very nice today, I hope you enjoy the window view" would've done just fine. On to the actual brunch. The service was wonderful. The food was just ok. The prime rib was very dry, the carrot soup was overly sweet and would've been much better had it been strained, but instead was really lumpy. The cheese grits lacked flavor and the mashed potatoes were borderline gelatinous. The highlight was the salmon cooked in a blackberry bourbon sauce, which was actually delicious. I felt like the buffet was more like $20 quality than $42 quality. Lastly, while we were there, the power went out. Obviously this was not their fault and the staff actually handled it wonderfully. However, it would've been in good taste to offer to take a round of our mimosas off the bill, or offer us another round on the house, as we had to wait some time to pay our bill, as their credit card machine wasn't working due to lack of power and they were doing everything by hand. For a supposedly fine establishment as the Brown Hotel, I would think that would be standard practice. We won't be back.

My husband, brother, sister-in-law and I stopped there on our way through Louisville a couple weeks ago. My brother and his wife had stayed in the Brown Hotel which this is located in and were inspired to try making the famous Hot Brown themselves. It was nice to have a chance a year later to try the open faced hot turkey sandwich in it's birthplace. Not only was the dish delicious as expected, but the service was good and the atmosphere was lovely. We didn't have to wait long at all for our food to come out. There was a little snafu with the menus since we arrived just shortly after the breakfast hours had ended, but that was quickly remedied since we were looking for the Hot Brown which is available all day anyway.

Excellent breakfast great service and bloody Mary's. In a gorgeous hotel

The manager Judd Gibbs, the hostess, and the wait staff went out of their way to my make my daughter's 21st birthday extra special! Thank you for making this a memorable occasion!
