I rode my 1999 yamaha r1 to cycle works and asked them to sync my carbs , And to figure out why the blinker were not working and why the speedo says 0mph when riding and why the charging system isnt hitting 14 dc volts when the motor rpms are revved.
Things I found after I got my bike back My rear axle nut was loose and also the bolts that hold on the rear caliper were loose. also missing a bracket from the tank that I know was there when I took the bike to them. Cycle works acknowledged the piece was there but will not replace it. They act like they care about what they do but they over charge so that they can buy title rights to the bikes that were left there from previous customers. I would not recommend taking your bike there for work done. I dont have a ridable motorcycle after 275 dollars of supposedly carb vaccume syncing.
Terrible terrible service. The old man there was very rude the whole time. I took my bike in for a back firing issue and it was there for two weeks and all the did was change the battery after trying to sell me an $800 harley battery !!! My bike is a suzuki intruder. There was no communication unless I called. Will NEVER go back again.
Very expensive and dont stand behind their shoddy work. I was in there 6 months ago I asked them fix anything wrong with my Honda 90St that been sitting 3 years. They charged me 350 to replace carb, clean gas tank and put in battery. 6 months later after putting 50 miles on it the carb leaking like crazy and they wont stand behind work and they want another 150. They were supposed to check out bike and take care any problem since bike was sitting for several years. They gave me repaired bike back with loose axle causing me to wreck and almost killed me. I bled for 2 days. Never going back to these idiots calling themselves mechanics. Check your axle when you leave.
They said they took the carbs off and synced them but after a few days and two times of riding the bike it isnt running smoothly any more. I was told that the cluster is the reason why the speedo is reading 0mph and that I need resistors for my turn signals since they were led now. Cycle works also told me there wasnt anything wrong with my charging system that they dont know why it isnt hitting 14 dc volts when revved but all I should have to do is charge the battery every now and then. But if I wanted them to replace the rectifier it was $200 for them to do it. Seem kind of pricy to me since it isnt hard to get to and it just clips on the wireing harnes.
Super helpful staff, a little pricey, but good guys
Good prices on employees are very helpful
