I was here about two or so years ago during a convention during my offtime. At the time I was 17 and was browsing around the guns wishing it was my birthday the next month when I visited. I wasn't even doing anything except look and knew what rules they had. All of a sudden an employee started barking at me out of the blue. I told her I was following the rules and tried making a light hearted joke about why can't it be next month since I was turning of age to purchase firearms in the next week. She continued to be very rude even though I was trying to diffuse the situation. On top of that it took some time to check out and prices were so high even on basic items. I have never went back to this store or the city ever since. It left such a bad taste in my mouth. I always wanted wanted to go to a Cabela's when I was younger and it is sad they let such employees hold a job here and ruin the dream I had when I had my first chance going here.
The gentleman that helped us at the shoe section was extremely helpful. We ended up buying 3 pair of boots. The reason for only three stars is for the lack of associates at the gun counter. I wanted to buy a rifle scope and the wait to just talk to someone was over 30 + Minutes. I ended up leaving with just the boots. I will buy the rifle scope somewhere else. Not driving back since it is over an hour drive to get here.
I placed an order online and when I got an email that said it was ready to pick up I went to my store to get it and it wasn't there yet....which isn't a big deal but I found the item on the floor and they wouldn't let me have one without also paying for it and then returning the item I paid for online....exact. same. item. The gentlemen working in the pick up area was very polite I know he had nothing to do with my issue...customer service however should've stepped it up
I go here at least every other week. This store has a wide variety and competitive prices. Items for firearms, archery, fishing, camping, and more. At the back to the right is a room where they place their closeout and clearance items, I highly suggest you walk through this room if you visit.
