We love our zoo. It's not very big, but it is beautiful and there are a wide variety of animals. We have had a membership ever since we had kids, and it is the perfect afternoon trip. In the summer, my son absolutely loves the water park! It's small enough that you can keep an eye on your kids, but there are tons of activities in there! The Louisville Zoo is also a great conservation zoo. We are proud to support it!

This zoo was fun. I really liked how they had a lot of injured animals who otherwise would have a hard time surviving the wild.

This is where I took my son 2-3 times a week as he was growing up. Now I find myself taking grandchildren. Of course, the only way to go is a zoo membership. It makes it such a fun and reasonable activity for children of all ages. Seldom do we ever make the entire zoo. Usually each visit is concentrated in one or two areas. Below is a picture of me and my son with the lion behind us and a picture of me and my grandson on a camel.

Overall this seems like a well kept zoo and they have a good variety of animals from all continents.

Overall not a bad Zoo I rated it 4 stars because the animals that were there were very active in seemed to be very visible and interesting to look at. I would have probably given it 5 stars but many animals were not where they should be because they were doing maintenance and there are a lot of closed exhibits. The hardest part about this zoo is really understanding the flow and how to go around it. Even with a map it's kind of hard to understand which path will take you to where you want to go, and buildings that look closed we're actually exhibits that were open. They just need to have better signage for their guests.

My favorite part was the Gorilla enclosure. Those primates loved to watch videos of other gorillas on people's cell phones. You ought to try it.

Good zoo. Animals nicely displayed. Food at African Outpost is good and reasonably priced for this type venue. Keepers and Docents always willing to share their knowledge. Can be hilly walk once you go to lower level.

It was so funny when they bang on the window whenever they want you to change the video
