Many thanks for the protection and service officers like Mr. Wheeler offer. He is very professional and kind. We are very lucky to have policemen like Officer Wheeler keeping us safe.

I believe that all lives matter... But apparently the Officer Hayden (badge number 7128) does not... Forcing me to pick up the Black Lives Matter Banner and holding it high.

That district is so horrible the police are corrupted they don't have no respect they don't read people their rights or anything they lie on the police report that they make and everything my stepmom was recording the situation and one of the officers grabbed her by her arm and violated her as well he touched her breast I should've never been a man officer touching her any when there was a female officer present. And they arrested me for no reason at all and light on my report I will be suing the police department so with my stepmom as well Just be careful around Bardstown Road and everything I think that please department is racist and prejudice.

My daughter ran off the road and was stuck in the mud awaiting help on the morning of November 1st. Officer Wheeler assisted her (calling a tow truck) and kept everyone safe while cars whizzed by on the Watterson Expressway during rush hour traffic.

I just moved here to the area from Ohio and absolutely love the area and have been thinking how much I'm going to enjoy everything until I was coming home late from Tuesday night when out of no where a cop shines a light so bright into my eyes that I almost wreck because I can't see anything. An officer named M.Keller comes up to my window and says that myself and passenger did not have our seat belts when he seen us. Both of us had our seat belts on and my passenger was half asleep and relaxed in a slouching position. There's no way he could see if his seat belt was on or not. I told the officer we were new to the area and instead of welcoming us to the area he said directly to me that the people around here don't lie. At this point he was calling me a liar at which time I was afraid to say anything. He appeared to be very aggressive. My best friend I grew up with in high school has been a police officer for many years and he always tells me the job of an officer is also to be a good personal relations person within the community. This was a horrible experience that seems to have overshadowed the excitement of being in a new area.

On several instances we have seen on security footage where a black person steps outside and within 2 to 10 minutes a police car pulls up asking why they are there. The police just recently noticed our cameras and have started parking down the street. Previously Officer Hayden (badge number 7128) of the 5th Division Louisville Metro Police required a total of 4 vehicles to give a parking ticket... Yes a parking ticket. They asked to search the vehicle. Then yesterday, February 19th, Officer Hayden (badge number 7128) pulled over a guest when leaving. Officer Hayden (badge number 7128) had to turn around to go the same direction as they were only to pull them over for not using a turning signal. He had 6 additional police cars assist him in this signal infraction. One might think that the use of so many police vehicles and personnel is over kill and I am pretty sure the rest of the world would agree. He asked to search the vehicle and didn't find anything. He left them about 45 minutes later with only a ticket for not using a turning signal.

I have found that the 5th division police department in Crescent Hill targets black people. As a white property owner I have noticed that all my white tenants are not ticketed or pulled over, but consistently black tenants are. Tenants will receive a parking ticket for being parked the wrong way on the street. This would be fine if they ticketed all the cars but they only ticket those staying at my property.

One opinion that the Metro Louisville Police department is racist or maybe it is only the Fifth Division as Crescent Hill is primarily a white neighborhood. I am taking video footage of misconduct to the Sergeant in charge of Officer Hayden (badge number 7128) and those that support his lynch crew posse mentality (shown by having multi officers show up for turning signal and parking violations and not saying something about the overkill and misconduct towards civilians like myself). Once I report and make an official complaint to his Sergeant I will be going to internal affairs at 28th and Virginia. This type of behavior is why the Black Lives Matter movement exists. I didn't think about it much as I am white and it doesn't affect me personally most of the time until now. This unfair treatment of Black people by white officers is becoming ridiculous enough that I am not only filing complaints but making a Google review.

If you have a legitimate complaint regarding what appears to be racism against the Metro Louisville Police Department I strongly encourage you to stand either your ground or in my case the grounds of others and report these issues.
