Went in today at 758 was not 800 yet, I knew what I was getting so I would be in and out quick. Soon as I open the door that was propped open and not locked, a rude black lady with an attitude, 'Umm we closed' I said it's not 8 o clock yet. She says again rudely we are closed, I don't know what clock you looking at, the lights are off we closed. I said OK, that's fine but you still be a professional, your delivery is all wrong! We exchange a few more words, and I said one curse word, and the store manager, threaten to put me out. Really? I had EVERY right to be upset, because I spoken to like trash! Sh should have told her employee to apologize! And for the record the black lady would have never spoken to me that way if I was a white woman! She would have been nice and respectful! ( I am a black woman by the way). My mother goes to this store all the time. It's a shame I was treated this way. I will be following up with the corporate office tomorrow.
They resell the good stuff by the pallet, clean store.
My absolute favorite thrift store. Many of times I find just what I am looking for. The store also has 50% off the color tag of the day!
I used to think this place was great. They had amazing prices on dressers and other furniture. Went yesterday to find a bed frame and the stock person was quite rude when we asked the price, 25.99, which ended up being way more than we anticipated for a used bed frame. Ended our search at a new goodwill, which is always overpriced. Don't know if I'll go back to St. V De Paul. I mean how do you justify charging so much for donated items.
