After seeing advertisements on Facebook when I was in need of a pub table and chairs, I reached out about a particular set. Commented on the picture and asked was this particular model in all black. An immediate response was made, "yes and we also have other styles available." Made a trip to the store and was greeted by very plesant woman. After viewing the store, it was obvious this was a family owned business. I found the model I had asked about. I was then informed that it only came in 1 color. I was a little annoyed that I traveled this far to find out I was misled. She then began showing other available options within my requested needs. As she was assisting me, a male continuously interrupted asking about office supplies, yelling from the back of the store. After finding a set I was interested in, she quoted me a price. I was worried about the description and wanted to ensure it was really what I was wanting. She offered for me to see the set online to get a clearer visual. I then accompanied her to the back of the store where the man was at a desk with a toddler running around. It was obvious that this was husband and wife along with their child. The wife explained what I wanted to see on the computer. Not once did the husband greet me or offer me a seat. He was too distracted by his son that wanted his attention. I had to sit and wait until his son sat on his lap, opened a bottle of water and had to be talked down to behave. Not once did he acknowledge my inconvenience. He refused to let me see the item online and spoke to me as though I was incompetent by repeatedly stating the catalog description. Due to the severity of my need, I decided to bite my tongue and continue with the purchase. I went along with the price quoted. The husband immediately objected and said it was too low. Two metal bar stools and a compressed wood bar table top with metal legs...the price seemed right. He stated that his wife only charged me for one chair. I obliged. Not once did he apologize for the misinformation. After making an order ticket, I was asked to review and intial the agreements on the receipt. This establishment offers financing and delivery which I didn't take advantage of. I informed him that I wouls not initial next to statements that didnt apply to me. He then became irritated and began speaking arrogantly. He said I need to acknowledge "his store's" policies. The wife intervened and said it was fine for me not to initial those particular lines. I paid cash. There was no register. I required $1.60 in change. He handed me two dollars and looked at me as though I should be grateful for the extra $.40. Six days later, I was informed that my order was in. I arrived in the store and greeted by the husband. Seemed like the truck was unloaded in the back part of the store which was in a disarray. He found my order, 3 boxes, and asked did I need help putting them in my car. Seeing a furniture dolly on the floor, I assumed being a gentleman and I a female customer, I wouldn't have to carry anything.I carried 2 boxes to my car. I brought to his attention that the bar stool box had one order number with a qty of 2. Over charged. Bringing these items home, I immediately began to assemble them, only to find there were 2pcs of hardware missing. It was obvious that this box had been repackaged. I called the store several times on 2 different known numbers. No response. Messaged on Facebook. No response. Waited 20mins and tried again. He answered and I informed him of dilemma. He did apologize for the inconvenience and told me to come back out to the store to receive a whole new package of hardware. Since the store was closing within 30mins, I informed him that I would come the next day. I had my spouse go to the store the next day to retrieve the pcs. The store owner suggested that he could've done what most people do and go to Home Depot to get the missing pcs. My spouse then understood my disgust with this store's lack of good customer service. Needless to say, I would not recommend this store to anyone. Not quality service.
