Great Park! My daughters teachers from Bloom Elementary take them to the park on a regular basis either for school projects or as a reward for different goals that they meet. There is a great playground, a couple tennis courts, a basketball court, a running path around a portion of the park and other cool features. This is a great neighborhood park that has been around as long as I can remember and the surrounding neighborhood is peaceful and welcoming.
Nice playground available with a walking circle and it so you can walk and keep you kids in sight as they play. There is a smaller playground with a fence around it for smaller children. It is not the most stroller friendly as there are steps with no ramp in a lot of places. There is a fountain for the children to play in and it has a button so you can turn it on yourself!
Best mid-sized park in the area. Great place to run track or have children ride bikes. In the summer months, the fountain is A+. Be sure to yell something under the bridge!
The other day a couple friends of mine also setup some turn tables in the park and played old school hip hop the day before the 4th of July. Not a lot of people showed up but a couple break dancers did show up and showcase their art.
It's THE place for a kid to learn to ride a bike. .2 mile paved loop (flat), grassy field, playground, splash pad, basketball hoop, pavilion, and picnic area. On the other side of the tunnel, tennis courts and a baby playground. It's a bit mosquito-y in the summer, so come prepared. Excellent place to toss a disc.
Great medium sized park in the middle of the Highlands. Walking circle - baseketball court - picnic areas - playgrounds - tennis courts - frisbee field. Jazz concerts are hosted here during the early Fall.
