I love the food here. It’s fresh, clean and authentic flavors. I most enjoy when the owners are there. They are engaging, pleasant and great chefs. They provide you with a good portion of food and recommend side complements to your meal.. At times, when the owners are not there, I’m not sure the meal portions are right. At any rate, I’m sold on Shiraz it’s a fantastic place to bring family and friends..
I ordered the pulled beef panini with eggplant on the side and my wife ordered the Shiraz roll with hummus on the side. The food was absolutely fantastic. Fresh and authentic flavors, a true testament to the owners claims. It's easy to believe that these recipes are passed down through his family. My only criticism would be that the portions were very small and my wife and I would have to order double our food to be satisfied.
However, with the portion size aside, a definite winner in our pursuit for awesome foods in Louisville.
Dissapointing. I found out I was cheated out of my meal today. I was with two other gentleman and we all ordered a side of fries. Out of the three orders, we received one. When insisting we ordered three sides, the owner told us we could share the one order or we could all pay for another. We all had proof of our orders (but he was too busy to check this) and it turned out he had charged us all for the appetizer portion and we all ordered the side portion of fries. (the small portion but was charged for the larger).Typically, I order the same thing and realized this has been happening every time that I go. I end up paying for the large portion and receive the small order. We ended up not getting our three sides. As a group, we couldn't believe how we were treated and we all plan on never eating there again. If you do go here, make sure you order the right amount and receive the right amount.
Great family atmosphere. This was our first time in Shiraz and we were greeted by the owner who welcomed us to his family's restaurant. He said that when we eat here it's like eating at his home. He told us that all his food is fresh and non processed and that the recipes are his family recipes.
Great food! I go there all the time since I live nearby. Only suggestion, add two cashier lines. People are so indecisive and slow when deciding what to eat sometimes. I place orders for carry out all the time and waiting in line to just pay and get my food and go home is so annoying. I actually had to sit at a table and wait for this couple to decide what they want and place their order and pay. My food has been cold the last couple of times because I had to wait to pay behind three sets of super annoying indecisive people. Message for people out there-when you are ready to order, then get in line. Don't hold up people for no reason. The menu are easily displaced and simple to understand. My comment isn't about Shiraz because the owner and staff are great, more about inconsiderate customer's.
Thanks for being great!
Wow. Loving this place the food is super fresh and flavorful. You can tell there is a real love for the food here and it's been awhile since I've been to a restaurant where the gratitude exudes from the staff. You feel at home after the first few words are exchanged. Then you get the food and wow it has that touch. Will def come back here.
