The baked Ziti was delicious! We had a wonderful time, the atmosphere was cozy yet elegant! Highly recommend!!
I ate the Primavera with angel hair pasta. Again it was good but not super flavorful. I added quite a bit of salt and that was a nice touch.
If you haven't been to Silvio's, GO!
I have a thing about locally owned and good customer service. When I get both, I'm sold and will patronize a business even if they're not the least expensive. I'm sold on Silvio's.
You can always get chain food, but it's a little something special when you can support people who live, work and play where you do, and depend of the support of the community as much as the community depends on business owners' contributions to the local economy.
Although I've been several times, I actually waited to write a review to see if they'd be consistent. However, what motivated me to finally provide feedback, was my last visit. They were packed! I didn't have a reservation, the air was broken and it was BLAZING outside. Despite all of this, the staff was superb and didn't act like they were as uncomfortable as I know they had to be, given the temperature IN the restaurant.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner. We had a good recommendation from someone we knew (they go to a different location as this one is newer).
My husband had the Pasta with seafood. The mussels outlined the pasta and there was a small portion of pasta with some shrimp and scallops. Not bad but not very flavorful especially with the seafood.
Unfortunately, the kitchen wasn't on their A-game, like they usually are, so Silvio went in and cooked in the midst of doing his usual customer greeting. When a leader physically leads by example, I take note. At times Silvio would come to our table with sweat dripping, but his bubbly personality didn't waiver, nor did any of his staff's.
I would have given this a 3.5 but I can't do half stars. I gave it a 3.5 because they had great customer service, but their space was not very comfortable and the food wasn't special but not awful. Our waitress was very kind and attentive without being annoying and what looked to be the head chef or owner came out to ask how we were doing and welcomed us. Prices for the kind of food they serve isn't bad but I was disappointed in the flavor. I felt it was lacking.
Excellent food! Most is a la cart but enjoyed the rice balls and simple angel hair spagetti with marinara sauce. Atmosphere is not real quiet but the servers are friendly and the owner/chief comes to the table and chats. Real personable fellow! Good for friends to gather or a couple to enjoy a dinner out.
There are zero Italian restaurants that top this place. Owner is a top notch guy who seems to genuinely care if you enjoyed your food. He made a menu suggestion to my husband and told him if he didn't love it, he'd buy it and replace it for free. Quaint little place, make reservations if you want a seat. Every server is awesome and hostess is equally awesome! Don't forget to ask for the dessert tray, the Italian Cream Cake will blow your mind!!
