Would leave but we booked two non refundable nights to get this great deal.

Great property! Felt like a taste of history hidden in the middle of downtown. Kept the charm of the old days alive while providing all the modern amenities and luxuries. Layout is complex but the best digital map system inside keeps you from getting lost. Went for a work event, and the catering and servers were excellent. Highly recommend for your upscale event!

We have stayed here before but not in the "Tower" and thought they were over priced but good amenities. It's like the devil selling the idea that hell ain't so bad. Then you check in.

Save your money and get a Motel 6. Same amenities lower cost. Worst shower I have ever had in a hotel. Water was either boil off your skin or steam it off. Box springs in beds are original 1960 - 70 era. Room was ice cold when we checked in and heating ran all night trying to get to 71. When it finally kicked off, it only took minutes to get back to cold and come back on.

Very nice huge hotel. The top floor Restaurant has a partial revolving floor every 30 minutes. Beautiful view of the Ohio River and city lights at night. Upscale place to visit. No refrigerator or microwave in our room but some rooms may have them. There were at least 3 restaurants and bars for your enjoyment.

My husband attended a conference at the Galt House for work and because it was paid travel we were required to stay at this hotel. Had we had the option to stay elsewhere, we would have. The lobby is very beautiful with a unique and historic look, however once you get to your room, it is clear that the hotel does not put nearly as much money or attention into comfortable guest rooms. The hotel has been updated but poorly. The carpet is covered in stains and these are the worst hotel beds I have ever encountered. The mattress in my college dorm was more comfortable. The bedding is equally poor. The hotel does not even bother with providing a fitted sheet for the mattress, so the flat sheet was constantly sliding down and exposing the mattress underneath.

Very small coffee pot. No refrigerator. Had to use the ironing for a bedside table.

Nice spot. Decent location. Down One Bourbon Bar is nearby, which is worth a stop. I recommend going out and taking a look at the Ohio River from the back of the hotel if you have time. Great spot to take a picture or 10. The walkway between the two parts of the hotel has a bar area, which is decent.

This hotel is not worth the nightly rate they charge, nor deserving of a 4 star rating. You would be better off at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn express.
