Rooms are nice and clean. There is a bar with a great Bourbon infused beer. The hotel is well located. Just wish there was continental breakfast.
No shampoo or conditioner in the room when we arrived. I had to stop housekeeping and ask for some.
We had a room on the top floor with a city view. The room was beautiful as was the view outside! Service was great, valet parking was very nice. Perfectly located in downtown Louisville with a lot of great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay again in the future.
Arrived for a weekend conference late on Friday night to find out that they had overbooked and that they had no rooms left. So they put me across the street at the Marriott for the first night for free (I didn't pay at all for that night) , then I checked into the Hyatt the next afternoon. That night, they delivered a cheese plate to our room as an apology. The room itself was nice, modern looking, and comfortable, and honestly, I liked it better than the Marriott that normally runs at twice the cost.
Bottom line: only stay here if you pack your own food and toiletries. I won’t be back.
The hotel had a great space or I should say spaces for a large conference with breakout sessions. The food was fantastic how it tasted great and was quite healthy. The hotel was in the middle of downtown and close to restaurants and museums in Louisville. I would definitely want to return for this type of event again.
Stayed here for 2 nights for my daughter’s cheer competition as this was one of the competition preferred hotels. This was terrible- particularly room service and housekeeping. We tried to order room service on the first night which was a Friday. We understood it may be busy but there was never anyone in the lobby and no traffic in the halls, and it was far after dinner time. Room service never answered after 7 attempts. We finally reached someone at the front desk (Mariah). She was friendly and tried to help us order. After numerous back and forth connecting and follow up calls, our meal showed up. No ice water, no utensils! I had to chase the server down and ask her to bring both up. I should mention, we could not even drink from the bathroom sink if we wanted to because housekeeping never left any glasses where they should have been in the room (they had placeholders but no glasses).
Day 2: we made the mistake of trying to order room service for breakfast. After calling again several times, the man told me it would be an hour. After 2+ hours, I called for an ETA. He couldn’t find my order!!!! He then suggested we order again. No way! My poor daughter had to compete and we needed to leave. We had to rush out to find food for her. Well, there was a buffet in the lobby restaurant. We sat down. The selection consisted of cereal, yogurt (in a bottle), powered scrambled eggs and sausage. oh and scary looking biscuits and gravy. I ate the eggs. My daughter ordered french toast to go. The toast finally arrived when we had absolutely no time to spare.
