Let's just say first impression meant everything to me when it came to this call and the care for our cats. If they don't know what they should know which I assume is basic information then no way would I take my babies to be seen there. Again, this is not about the doctors at all, they may be great but whoever answered that phone yesterday I found very offputting. She really seemed like she had no clue and didn't really seem like she wanted to help since it would "take her a long time to figure out the pricing".
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, even for exotic pets. Reasonable prices for checkups. Be aware there's a $35 appointment fee that goes toward your bill, to ensure you do arrive on schedule.
This rating is not based on the care the doctors at this vet give. Yesterday I called looking for a new vet closer to home because our cats, like many get very stressed out when riding in the car. I called for pricing on annual shots for two cats. I just needed to know how much the annual rabies and Fvrcp were. I was going to ask about a blood test but I didn't get to that point because clearly The person who answered didn't know much about what I was calling for. The employee who answered didn't seem to know what shots cats need annually and I was told to find pricing on shots would take her a long time. How is this? Other vets I called knew right off prices and what shots were needed. Unless this vet nickel and dimes you for every little thing I don't know how someone would not know this, especially someone who answers the phone.
I've had guinea pigs for over a year now, and they've been fantastic with helping me get and keep them healthy.
This is one of the most caring and experienced vet offices I have ever worked with. We used Crestwood animal hospital and they were also great but this office is closer to us now. Dr. Fulkerson and the staff here are amazing. They really listen and help you with what can often be difficult times. We run a rodent rescue and have 6 dogs so we are here at least once a week. If you have an exotic pet this is the place for you. If you have a "standard" pet, they don't suggest things you don't need and they help keep you up to date with reminders for maintenance visits.
I had a guinea pig for about 5 years. She died 2 years ago. This is the only vet I have ever used. When I took her there because she was itching so badly, not eating and losing fur, the vet found she had mites( probably from her bedding we used at the time), he medicated her and she never had any more mites. When she was older, she decided to eat the clasp off a necklace I was wearing! The vet took her in right away. When Bibi died, the vet actually cried. I now have a goldendoodle (as of yesterday). I will never even try another vet.
